On January 8, 2026, in the Tarn region, the Elien Rebirth association chose to raise awareness where needs are most acute and where professionals feel the most isolated.
While our regular engagement with major institutional bodies allows us to provide a comprehensive strategic analysis, it cannot replace listening directly to the realities on the ground. That is why we wholeheartedly accepted the invitation to work outside major urban centers, in regions where frontline workers often operate under challenging conditions, with limited resources, yet must address extremely serious crimes.
Feedback from the field and work-related emergencies
Direct, unfiltered discussions with participants brought to light some fundamental and unanimous expectations:

We must no longer leave teams to face situations involving significant psychological stress on their own.

Leveraging Local Expertise
Recognize the essential expertise of professionals in the field.
This visit underscores an urgent need: in the face of child sexual abuse and child prostitution, professionals are calling for a protective framework, ongoing training, institutional support, and greater recognition.
The Reality of Institutional Resistance
It is particularly concerning that the organization of forums for debate, awareness-raising, and capacity-building on this scale must still rely on union commitment, in the absence of a comprehensive and systemic institutional drive. This situation reflects the persistent resistance—whether direct or indirect—that all too often hinders open discussion and a head-on approach to addressing violence against minors.
