For Elien Rebirth, combating child sexual abuse and working to protect children are not optional—they are our raison d’être.
Founded in July 2019 by our president, the organization was born out of a deep conviction: no victim should have to face the consequences of the violence they have endured alone. Acknowledging survivors’ voices, defending their rights, and collective action are essential to enabling them to move forward on the path to recovery.
After several years of supporting victims, we have, since 2024, fully refocused our mission around a central goal: combating child sexual abuse, sexual violence, and domestic violence, and working to protect children.
Our commitment is based on four key pillars:
Legal Proceedings
Assist and support victims in bringing a civil action—an official procedure through which the victim of a crime (whether a felony or a misdemeanor) seeks damages to compensate for the harm suffered and becomes an active party in the criminal trial.
Advocacy
Take action at the national and European levels to bring about lasting change in public policies and child protection systems.
Prevention and Training
Raise awareness among institutions and professionals, while ensuring that disability and the unique characteristics of society as a whole are taken into account.
Breaking the Code of Silence
Break the silence surrounding child sexual abuse, sexual violence, maltreatment, and abuse, including within the psychiatric field.
Recognized expertise and a collective commitment
Since 2023, we have participated in all of the workshops organized by the National Gendarmerie Research Center (CRGN), particularly the PEPS workshops focused on domestic violence and child sexual abuse.
- The PEPS Workshop on Domestic Violence (April 3–4, 2024) resulted in 23 concrete proposals.
- The findings of the PEPS workshop on child sexual abuse (June 11–12, 2026) were submitted to the authorities in early July 2026.
Elien Rebirth is a member of the ChildSafetyOn coalition, and our president is actively involved in the Brave Movement and Be Brave France.
