About Us

A Structure That Supports Our Commitment

Elien Rebirth is a nonprofit organization under the French Law of 1901, founded in July 2019, whose work is now centered on a clear mission: combating child sexual abuse, sexual violence, and domestic violence, and protecting children. The journey that led to this commitment, as well as the vision that drives it, are presented in detail on our “Our Vision” page.

This page is intended to provide a concrete overview of who we are: our organization, our governance, and the principles that guide our day-to-day operations.

Our Values

Dignity

Every person, regardless of their circumstances, abilities, or background, must be respected, protected, and heard.

Listening

No victim or survivor’s account should be questioned; it must be heard.

Collective Responsibility

Child protection and prevention cannot rely solely on victims or their families; they require the involvement of society as a whole.

Institutional Requirements

We refuse to allow the silence or indifference of institutional leaders to perpetuate—even unintentionally—the violence they are supposed to combat.

A Special Focus on Disabilities

The issue of disability in all its forms (physical, sensory, psychological, mental, cognitive, or invisible) is central to our commitment. We believe that disability should never be a barrier to dignity, protection, being heard, inclusion, or access to rights, and we uphold this principle in all our prevention, awareness-raising, training, and advocacy efforts.

Governance and Leadership

The Presidency

Elien Rebirth is chaired by Florence Elie, the association’s founder. Her personal and professional background, as well as her vision for the association, are detailed on the Our Vision page.

Administrative and Financial Department (DAF)

Elisa Cambou, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer at Elien Rebirth, has a proven track record as a senior executive in both the private and public sectors. She brings to the organization solid expertise in administrative and financial management, as well as a proven ability to develop and build institutional partnerships and networks.

Guided by a constant commitment to rigor and a keen sense of professional ethics, she naturally steered her career toward public administration and international organizations. With a longstanding commitment to issues of vulnerability and inclusion—particularly those related to disability—she now applies this expertise to shaping Elien Rebirth and implementing its initiatives.

Serving the cause of child protection was a given. Not taking action would have meant betraying my values.
