Since November 16, 2023, our association has been actively participating in workshops organized by the National Gendarmerie Research Center (CRGN), alongside our colleague Lydie Drame and Mark Pohlmann, CEO of Aeteos. This initial participation marked the beginning of our association’s ongoing involvement in all research conducted by the CRGN.
The CRGN's PEPS Parenthèses: A National Collaborative Research Workshop
The PEPS (Parenthèses, Études et Perspectives) model, conceived and developed by the CRGN, brings together about 100 participants—including representatives from institutions, academia, the professional community, and civil society organizations—over two consecutive days for collective ideation workshops, with a clear objective: to formulate concrete and pragmatic proposals to advance public policy.
This initiative is part of a broader discussion: Five years after the Grenelle Forum on Domestic Violence, how can research contribute to the development of new measures and open up new avenues for public action?
Reminder for April 3 and 4, 2024:
Our organization had the honor of participating in the very first edition of the PEPS initiative, which focused on domestic violence (PEPS VIF). The recommendations put forward by the working group to which our president belonged were identified as top priorities, resulting in 23 concrete proposals.
The 2026 PEPS conference on child sexual abuse (June 11–12, 2026):
Our president represented the association at the second edition of the PEPS national workshop—alongside Lydie Drame and Mark Pohlmann—organized by the CRGN and entirely dedicated to child sexual abuse. Held under the honorary chairmanship of Sarah El Haïry, High Commissioner for Children, and sponsored by Pascal Vigneron (Colosse aux pieds d’argile association), this event brought together seventy participants from a wide range of backgrounds: institutional representatives, academics, representatives of nonprofit organizations, and professionals in the fields of health and law.
Tangible Results
The study focused on a central question: What new tools for prevention, detection, and regulation should be deployed to complement current strategies for combating child sexual exploitation in an era of digital transformation and social vulnerabilities?
This workshop resulted in 25 priority measures, which were documented in a report of about 100 pages and presented at the conclusion of the workshop to Maud Petit, Member of Parliament for Val-de-Marne. The report resulting from this PEPS initiative on combating child sexual abuse was officially submitted to the authorities in early July 2026.
This ongoing commitment to the CRGN reflects the conviction that has driven our association since its founding: fostering dialogue between on-the-ground expertise and institutional research is essential to developing public policies that are truly effective in combating child sexual abuse and domestic violence.
